Read, sketch, experiment, watch my kids draw and paint, look through old Graphis magazines from the 30s-60s, go to art exhibits, surf the web, look at magazines.

Warm red, brown and aqua blue.

Why do you like being an illustrator in 10 words or less?
I like the freedom to experiment and try new things and integrate illustration into my design work.

Tennis coach.

Bedding patterns for Land of Nod, a project with Target, a film’s opening title sequence.

What’s the strangest work experience you’ve ever had?
When I was at a focus group and the client went on the other side of the glass and started arguing with the focus group when they were criticizing his product. Good times.

H.G. Wells assorted short stories and The Trial by Franz Kafka.

Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series.

Italy or Spain.
