Where do you live?
Flagstaff, AZ

Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, a school bus
What media do you use?
Watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic ink, iPad
How do you stay inspired?
I go thrift shopping and get outside a lot.
Where do you buy your art supplies?
Right now I order online, but I love a good local art shop!
Do you work traditionally or digitally?
Both- I start all my pieces traditionally and then finish in Photoshop
What color combination are you most excited about right now?
So many!! But I get the most excited when I’m out walking my dog around dusk and there’s this sage/emerald/peach thing happening out on the mesa we live on.
Why do you like being an illustrator in 10 words or less?
Bringing beauty into others’ lives.
If you weren’t an illustrator, what would you be?
Realistically- a florist. In my dreams- a color forecaster.
What illustration job would you love to get (your dream job)?
Art for a really cool clothing line- because I could use some new duds!
Name something you do in your spare time.
Currently I’m learning Italian.
What’s the strangest work experience you’ve ever had?
I worked in an old bookbindery that was owned by a hoarder.
What are you reading now?
We are currently reading the Harry Potter series to our daughter- and that is so enjoyable!

Mexico and Japan
What show have you binge-watched?
Brooklyn Nine Nine, Community, Parks and Rec
What’s your favorite movie?
I think I could watch “Newsies” or “Thor: Ragnorok” over and over
What is your favorite cheese?
Cheap brie or expensive gouda.
If you could name a nail polish, what would you name it?
“Blushable” because I blush VERY easily.
Do you wear shoes when you do art?
No way! Slippers if it’s cold.

What do you wish your middle name was?
I’ve always liked mine; it was my grandmother’s maiden name and it’s my mom’s, sister’s, and daughter’s middle name as well.
If you could eat only one food, what would it be?
Sushi or croissants
How do you stay in shape?
I walk a lot and do kickboxing. Our family has also started going on little bike tours.
How don’t you stay in shape?
Chips and salsa

With cream
