Where do you live?
Liverpool England, home of The Beatles!

Where have you lived?
I grew up in the Wirral, Merseyside and studied design in Liverpool. Shortly after I moved to Leeds for University and lived there for 13 years. In 2015 I relocated to Liverpool and I feel so grateful to be back in such a thriving, creative and cultural city

What medium do you use?
All of my work is hand-drawn – I use a combination of drawing pens and markers along with using paints and inks to create textures. I then work up my originals and create everything digitally. My preferred program is Adobe Illustrator

How do you stay inspired?
Music plays a big part – I’m constantly downloading and finding new material. The feel and rhythm of a song really effects the way I design. I love walking and exploring I never go anywhere without my camera or iPhone – I document everything around me from the beautiful to the mundane

Where do you buy your art supplies?
From a local stationery shop – I’m a big fan of Uni Pin pens

Do you work traditionally or digitally?
A mixture of the two, I like to feel personally connected to my work so I prefer to create my original drawings away from the computer. I really do work spontaneously and draw from my feelings and instinct and my design process just evolves very organically

What color combination are you most excited about right now?
I’m an official colour addict! At the moment I’m especially loving mustard, slate grey and blue colour combinations

What blog(s) do you read?
Make it in Design, Print and Pattern and sfsgirlbybay.com. I’m also addicted to Pinterest!

I’d love to design for a band or a musician particularly Paloma Faith!

Name something you do in your spare time.
I love to travel! I’m always booking lots of spontaneous trips!

What’s the strangest work experience you’ve ever had?
I was cast for a TV role in a police drama series and I played a girl who gets killed. You see me alive and playing a dead body! The footage was used for their major TV advert campaign too – it was all very surreal
